"Santana DVX" Sparkling Wine from Mumm Napa

"Santana DVX" sparkling wine is the fruitful result of a creative collaboration between Carlos Santana and the Mumm Napa winemaking team. In working with the wine makers, Santana likened the process of arriving at the final marriage of grapes and dosage to the masculine/feminine counterpoint of rhythm and melody in music. Mumm Napa’s DVX designation is their “tête de cuvée,” or top bottling, exclusively for wines from carefully selected lots from their best vineyards. Fresh and supremely elegant, the high-end Santana DVX cuvee comes from the 1999 vintage, and has fragrant floral notes, a mild nutty bouquet and a creamy palate with a long finish.
