Born into a military family based in the San Francisco Bay Area,  Myron Dove grew up in a house filled with all kinds of music. His personal journey  began at age 7, when he began playing the clarinet and studying classical music. "That same year my mom took me to the movies to see the Beatles in HELP. I knew then exactly what I wanted to do. I was going to be a musician!" At the age of 11, Myron and his family moved to another city nearby, Oakland. It was there he was introduced to the grooving sounds of Motown, James Brown and other forms of R&B/Soul music. His father played all types of cool jazz records in their home and little Myron just soaked it up. It opened up a brand new world of sounds and rythyms that would become an intrinsic part of his musical being. At the age of 13, the family moved again. This time, to Lancaster, California, a small town located about sixty miles north of  Los Angeles. At 14, Myron was handed his first guitar and shortly after that he got his first bass. More on Myron
