- Met Bill Graham at the Fillmore.
1968
- Blues Band debuts at Fillmore West, San Francisco, June 16.
- Carlos celebrates his twenty-first birthday, July 20.
- Recording debut as guest guitarist on The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper.
- Band plays New Years Eve at Winterland.
1969
- Begins touring U.S.A. February 13, and performs in twenty-one states.
- Performs at Woodstock, August 16.
- Release of Santana album. Columbia Records releases this debut album which remained on the Billboard charts for over two years and sold nearly four million copies, October.
- Debut TV appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, October 26.
- R.I.A.A. Double Platinum Award for Santana, November 21, 1986.
- R.I.A.A. Gold Award for Santana, December 2, 1969.
- Performs at 'Altamont,' December 5.
