Carlos Jams at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Benefit

On June 6, 2004 Carlos, Dennis, Chester, Benny & Karl performed at Eric Clapton’s “Crossroads” Festival. The 2 day concert had an amazing line up, with many Blues and Rock & Roll legends sharing the stage. This scaled down version of the Santana Band was very dynamic as they jammed for the festival crowd at the Cotton Bowl.

The set list:
VENUS / UPPER EGYPT
NOMAD
RENE MARTINEZ INTRO
VICTORY IS WON
INCIDENT AT NESHABUR
SONNY SHARROCK
JINGO (WITH ERIC CLAPTON)
The back stage scene was something out of a Rock & Roll dream with Carlos, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Vaughn, Buddy Guy, BB King, Jeff Beck, James Taylor, David Hidalgo, John McLaughlin, Neil Schon and many others just hanging out, laughing and catching up with one another.

Information about the Crossroads Centre:

Founded by Clapton in 1997, the Crossroads Centre is a chemical addiction treatment and education center that provides residential care, family and aftercare programs on the island of Antigua. The organization also operates a separate facility, the Bevon House, exclusively for Antiguan residents, and the local school-based education series “Breaking the Cycle.”
