On December 5, the 2000 Billboard Awards were held in Las Vegas, NV. Santana won top honors in the following categories:
- Hot 100 Singles Sales (Maria Maria)
- Hot Adult Top 40 Singles and Tracks (Smooth)
- Top Internet Album Sales Artist
- Top Internet Album Sales
