Road to Ingwavuma chronicles an extraordinary journey to the heart of post-apartheid South Africa by a delegation of some of America’s most respected artists / activists and their families, including Carlos Santana, Deborah Santana, Samuel L. Jackson, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Alfre Woodard, Roderick Spencer, Jurnee Smollett, CCH Pounder, and other key ANSA members.

The 36-minute film features special appearances by President Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Ahmed Kathrada, Zackie Achmat, Justice Albie Sachs, and other heroes in South Africa’s fight for freedom and the continuing war on HIV/AIDS.

This new documentary is directed and produced by Peabody and Emmy-winning filmmaker Barbara Rick and executive produced and narrated by Deborah Santana.
