The Santana Band is Honored at The 2001 California Music Awards
The Santana Band was honored at this year’s California Music Awards. Oakland’s Henry J. Kaiser Arena was on its feet as Tracy Chapman introduced the current Santana Band and awarded them the Arthur M. Sohcot Award for Excellence. After listing the Band’s worldly accomplishments and Santana’s impact on popular music, Chapman introduced each member of the Band and presented them with an award. It was truly a great evening for the Band as each member was recognized by the fans, media & their peers for their hard work and dedication to excellence in music.
